Tried this b/w and colour and still not sure which I prefer. Think the splashes of red work quite well, so stuck with the colour in the end.

I think you are right - this one needs colour. BW might "flatten" it a bit. Nice shot - definitely says "Xmas" without being too cheesy.
I hate this as I am a sad loney git who doesn't know enough people to get that number of cards :(
Yes, also think that B&W with the contrast really boosted is the way forwards with this.
David and Susan are the popular ones. I might give it a try in b/w and see...
