Thanks, Tom. Looks like I might be able to do something similar attaching it to my cheapo Aldi camera case that I'm using most of the time.
Will hopefully get around to ordering the tripod soon and will report back.
Should have thought you'll find a solution - it's rare I can't find some way of attaching it, or fitting it in whatever bag I'm using. In fact, it fits into some pockets on some of my jackets - and will go into a side pocket on my laptop bag (I forgot it was there and have been carrying it around without noticing for about a week!).
